How can I work with text and image as an illustrator? What function and hierarchy can be applied? This zine is an exploration of semantic content, layering and legibility. The more background reader shares with me, the more they will understand in the zine.

Jump on a trolleybus number 15 and enjoy the journey from the outskirts to central Rīga. The journey takes you through the city, it's history and it's complexity. The illustrated journey weaves in layers of information combining fiction and fact, street names, lyrics and overheard phrases. Featuring a grid structure which falls apart as the journey progresses. In some ways it's a reflection on history and change of political regimes. Grid falling apart gives space to breath and explore the pages, as in bringing in some hope for the future.
